Zelensky's Office calls situation with power supply in Ukraine critical

KIEV, November 15. /TASS/. The power supply situation in Ukraine is critical at the moment, Kirill Timoshenko, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Office, wrote on his Telegram channel on Tuesday.

According to him, "the situation is critical at energy infrastructure facilities" as a result of explosions. "Most of the explosions were recorded in the center and the north of the country. The situation is very difficult in the capital city, special emergency blackout schedules are being introduced," he blogged.

"The Ukrenergo company has to begin emergency power outages in order to balance the power system and avoid a breakdown of the equipment," Timoshenko said.

On Tuesday, an air alert warning was issued throughout Ukraine. Explosions were reported in Kiev and the Kiev Region, as well as in the Kharkov, Sumy, Odessa and other regions. In Kharkov, Lvov and some other areas the power went out, while Zhitomir was left without both electricity and water.
