European Parliament bans Russia, Belarus diplomats from entering its premises

According to a Russian diplomatic source, due to the coronavirus pandemic it was extremely difficult for the Russian diplomats to get inside for a long time

BRUSSELS, March 18. /TASS/. The European Parliament has banned the diplomats and officials from Russia and Belarus from entering its premises, its President Roberta Metsola wrote on Twitter on Friday.

"As of today, diplomatic & government staff of Russia and Belarus are banned from entering the premises" of the European Parliament, she blogged. "There is no place in the House of Democracy for those who seek to destroy the democratic order," the president of the European Parliament said.

A Russian diplomatic source in Brussels has told TASS that since the buildings of the European Parliament remained closed during the coronavirus pandemic, it was anyway extremely difficult for the Russian diplomats to get inside for a long time.
