MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. Gas-exporting nations need to expand consultations concerning crisis situations in the market and threats to infrastructure, as well as coordinate approaches to supply operations, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).
"In the gas sector, too, we need to establish our own effective mechanisms for cooperation. In this regard, we propose expanding consultations within the framework of our forum concerning crisis situations in the gas market, in order to assess risks - including physical threats to gas infrastructure - in a timely manner, and to coordinate approaches to carrying out supplies," he said.
The Russian leader cited OPEC+ countries as an example, noting that their joint actions provided for predictability of the market situation and stable supply quantities in the oil market.
