Russia confident in its victory — Putin

"Continuity of generations, values and traditions - all this is what distinguishes Russia, what makes us strong and confident in ourselves, in our rightness and in our victory," the President stressed

VOLGOGRAD, February 2. /TASS/. Russia is confident in itself, its rightness and victory, President Vladimir Putin said at a concert marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad.

"Continuity of generations, values and traditions - all this is what distinguishes Russia, what makes us strong and confident in ourselves, in our rightness and in our victory," he stressed.

According to Putin, those who threaten Russia do not understand a simple truth. "All our people, all of us grew up and with the milk of our mother absorbed the traditions of our people, the generations of winners, who with their blood, sweat and tears created our country and passed it on to us by inheritance," the president pointed out.

The fortitude of the defenders of Stalingrad is a most important moral lesson for the Russian army and all citizens of the country, he stressed. "And our soldiers and officers are faithful to it," Putin summed up.
