BALI /Indonesia/, November 15. /TASS/. The draft final declaration of the G20 summit includes assessments of both Russia and the West on the Ukrainian crisis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters on Tuesday following his participation in the G20 summit.
"The West added the phrase that ‘many delegations condemned Russia’, we made sure that alternative views were outlined as well, we believe that this is quite enough," he said, adding that the draft declaration contained a reference to the "exchange of views" of the parties on the conflict.
The top diplomat said that the West was trying to politicize the final document by seeking condemnation of Russia's actions in the Ukrainian crisis on behalf of the entire G20. He added that work on the declaration was almost complete. "Our Western colleagues have tried in every possible way to politicize this declaration and tried to sneak in wording that would imply condemnation of Russia's actions on behalf of the entire G20, including ourselves," he said.
According to Lavrov, the Russian side, in turn, proposed to reflect in the document the different positions on Ukraine. As a result, according to the Russian top diplomat, the declaration contains views on the crisis from both Moscow and the West.
