Russian forces wipe out seven command posts in Ukraine operation, top brass reports

MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. Russian combat aircraft, missile and artillery troops wiped out seven Ukrainian army command posts in the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Monday.

"Operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile and artillery troops destroyed seven command posts in the areas of the communities of Ivanovka and Krakhmalnoye in the Kharkov Region, Vodyanoye and Pavlovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Novaya Kamenka, Davydov Brod and Belogorka in the Kherson Region, and also 72 artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 186 areas," the spokesman said.

Russian troops supported by artillery repelled an advance by a Ukrainian battalion tactical group in the Nikolayev-Krivoi Rog area, pushing the enemy back to initial positions, Konashenkov reported.

"In the Nikolayev-Krivoi Rog direction, Russian units supported by artillery thwarted an advance by a Ukrainian battalion tactical group in the areas of the settlements of Dudchany, Novaya Kamenka and Belogorka in the Kherson Region. The enemy was pushed back to initial positions," the spokesman said.

During the combat engagement, Russian forces eliminated over 110 Ukrainian troops, 11 combat armored vehicles and 13 motor vehicles, the general specified.

The Ukrainian military lost over 120 servicemen killed and 130 others wounded in its unsuccessful attempts to attack in the Krasny Liman area in the past day, Konashenkov reported.

"In the Krasny Liman direction, the enemy’s two battalion tactical groups made attempts to advance towards the settlements of Ploshchanka and Chervonopopovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic. All the attacks were repelled," the spokesman said.

As a result of all-out damage inflicted by firepower and active operations by Russian troops, the Ukrainian military lost over 120 troops killed and up to 130 others wounded. In addition, the Ukrainian army lost three tanks, two combat armored vehicles and five motor vehicles, the general specified.

Russian troops eliminated the enemy’s manpower and military hardware, the general said.

"During the combat engagement, up to 100 Ukrainian servicemen and mercenaries, two tanks, five combat armored vehicles and five pickup trucks were eliminated," Konashenkov reported.

The Ukrainian military fired seven large-caliber shells on the industrial zone of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (NPP) in the past day, Konashenkov reported.

"The Kiev regime continued provocations with the aim of creating the threat of a man-made disaster at the Zaporozhye nuclear power station. In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian artillery units fired seven large-caliber shells at the industrial zone of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant," the spokesman said.

The Ukrainian army carried out the bombardments from the Kiev-held community of Vysshetarasovka in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, the general said.

"The enemy’s battery was suppressed by Russian artillery’s retaliatory fire. Radiation levels at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant are normal," Konashenkov reported.

Russian troops destroyed two missile/artillery armament depots and a fuel depot of the Ukrainian army in the past day, the general said.

"The following targets were obliterated: two missile/artillery armament depots in the areas of the settlements of Belogorye and Kushchovoye in the Zaporozhye Region and also a depot of fuel for the Ukrainian military hardware in the area of the community of Galitsinovo in the Nikolayev Region," the spokesman said.

Russian air defenses shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter in the Kherson Region in the past day, Konashenkov reported.

"Russian air defense forces shot down a Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force in the area of the settlement of Novaya Kamenka in the Kherson Region," the spokesman said.

In the past 24 hours, Russian air defense capabilities destroyed six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of the settlements of Berestovoye, Yegorovka, Yevgenovka and Valeryanovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the general specified.

Russian troops obliterated two radar stations of Ukrainian S-300 surface-to-air missile systems in the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Zaporozhye Region, Konashenkov reported.

"In the areas of the settlements of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Volnyansk in the Zaporozhye Region, two radar stations of Ukrainian S-300 surface-to-air missile systems were obliterated," the spokesman said.

In addition, Russian troops wiped out a self-propelled launcher of a Ukrainian Buk-M1 surface-to-air missile system near the community of Novosyolka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the general added.

Russian air defense forces intercepted 14 Ukrainian HIMARS and Olkha rockets in the past day, Konashenkov reported.

"In the past 24 hours, 14 rockets of HIMARS and Olkha multiple launch rocket systems were intercepted in the areas of the settlements of Novaya Kakhovka, Otradokamenka and Korsunka in the Kherson Region, Starognatovka and Gruzsko-Lomovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and the city of Donetsk," the spokesman said.

Russian troops have destroyed over 330 Ukrainian military aircraft and more than 2,400 unmanned aerial vehicles since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.

"In all, the following targets have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation: 331 aircraft, 170 helicopters, 2,458 unmanned aerial vehicles, 387 surface-to-air missile systems, 6,421 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 884 multiple rocket launchers, 3,562 field artillery guns and mortars and also 7,109 special military motor vehicles," the general reported.
