LONDON, November 3. /TASS/. Russia handed over evidence of London’s involvement in an attack on the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol to British Ambassador to Moscow Deborah Bronnert, Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrey Kelin told Sky News on Thursday.
"The evidence on the participation of British special forces in preparations for the action against the Sevastopol Fleet has been delivered to the British ambassador this morning and to the military attache of Britain," he said.
"It will be made public pretty soon, I guess, perhaps today, perhaps tomorrow. But we know that it has happened and it is dangerous because it escalates the situation," Kelin added. "This is a warning actually that Britain is too deep in this conflict and of course, it means that the situation is becoming more and more dangerous," the Russian envoy emphasized.
Earlier on Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry summoned Bronnert to protest against the active involvement of British military specialists in training Ukrainian forces for sabotage activities in the Black Sea. The ministry pointed out to the British envoy that such hostilities "threaten to escalate the situation and could lead to unpredictable and dangerous consequences." In particular, the Russian Foreign Ministry specified that the UK had trained minesweeper crews for Ukraine and provided Kiev with a certain number of unmanned underwater vehicles. In a statement, the ministry mentioned a 2020 agreement between London and Kiev aimed at expanding British instructors' activities to train Ukrainian military divers.
