Kyrgyzstan and Russia discuss increasing number of flights

The vice president of the Tourism Development Support Fund of Kyrgyzstan noted that the share of Russian tourists in his country exceeds 9%

MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. Kyrgyzstan and Russia are negotiating increasing the number of flights between the two countries, Vice President of the Tourism Development Support Fund of Kyrgyzstan Maksat Usubaliev told reporters.

"Today, according to our research, there are about 23 flights between the cities of Russia and Kyrgyzstan. <...> We are negotiating and building capacity to increase the number of cities [connected by flights] and the frequency of flights between our countries," he said, adding that at the moment there are flights from Kyrgyzstan to more than 10 cities in Russia.

Usubaliev noted that the share of Russian tourists in Kyrgyzstan exceeds 9%, while Russian travelers are among the top five countries in terms of the number of tourist arrivals.
