IT firms from Moscow unveil latest projects at Dubai expo

The United Arab Emirates is one of the fastest-growing markets for Moscow firms, Deputy Mayor Natalya Sergunina noted

MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. Thirty companies from Moscow participated in the international IT expo Gitex in Dubai where entrepreneurs presented their projects under a single brand ‘Made in Moscow’, the press service of the city’s Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development reported on Thursday.

"This year representatives from 30 Moscow companies presented their most promising and marketable ideas, including in the area of management and integration of IT systems, at the expo in Dubai. This is double what we saw in 2021. Entrepreneurs held more than 500 meetings with potential clients, representing businesses, leading banks and state bodies," Deputy Mayor Natalya Sergunina was quoted as saying.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the fastest-growing markets for Moscow firms, she noted. Moscow’s non-energy exports to the country increased seven-fold in 2021 to 34.9 bln rubles ($570 mln).

"The Gitex expo has been held in the United Arab Emirates since 1981. This year more than 4,500 companies from over 170 countries across the world presented their ideas," the press service added.
