International situation continues to deteriorate, says Russian defense minister

MINSK, October 22. /TASS/. The international environment keeps worsening calling for preventive steps, Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov told Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, according to BelTA news agency.

"You are absolutely right. The international situation continues to deteriorate. It remains extremely complex. Not only is it complex, but it is becoming increasingly unpredictable. We can see what is happening in Europe and the Middle East. And this requires preemptive actions," he said.

Belousov said this was among the key topics on his agenda for discussions with Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin.
