German politician says preparations underway for Germany-Russia-US forum

Markus Frohnmaier, deputy chairman of the AfD parliamentary faction, has also said that his party is "committed to building bridges and strengthening cooperation in trade, business, and energy"

BERLIN, October 22. /TASS/. Markus Frohnmaier, deputy chairman of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) parliamentary faction, has said he is looking forward to a trilateral Germany-Russia-US economic forum.

"I am very much looking forward to the Trilateral Economic Forum. Preparations are already underway," he wrote on X, addressing Kirill Dmiriev, Russian special presidential envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and director general of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

"While others seek to sow division between nations, we are committed to building bridges and strengthening cooperation in trade, business, and energy," Frohnmaier said. "I firmly believe that dialogue and mutual understanding are the foundations of a more prosperous and peaceful future," he added.

Dmitriev said earlier that a Russia-US-Germany forum could be held in the second quarter of next year and that he was scheduled to meet with AfD members in December to discuss the initiative.
