WASHINGTON, October 22. /TASS/. The United States is interacting with Russia and China on the issue of resolving the US-Israeli military conflict with Iran, US President Donald Trump said.
According to Trump, Russia could have participated much more strongly with Iran, and likewise China. "There's relatively little participation. The fact is, both of them would like to see the war settled, so we're in the process of doing that with Russia, and we have China also involved," he told reporters.
The United States and Israel launched a war against Iran on February 28. In June, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding envisaging an immediate ceasefire on all fronts, including in Lebanon. However, the United States resumed large-scale attacks on Iran overnight to July 8, having accused it of breaching the existing agreements in what concerned the Strait of Hormuz. Later, the US administration actually signaled that it was ceasing the use of military force against Iran and was embarking on a path of its economic suffocation through tougher sanctions.
