Brazil's presidential election will be held in October 2026

RIO DE JANEIRO, October 23. /TASS/. Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has announced his decision to run for president in the 2026 election.

"I will be 80 years old, but rest assured that I have the same energy as when I was 30. I will run for a fourth [presidential] term," he said during a state visit to Indonesia.

Brazil's presidential election will be held in October 2026.
