KIEV, May 28. /TASS/. The Security Service of Ukraine initiated a procedure to seize the assets of Russian oil company Rosneft in the country, the service wrote on Saturday on its Telegram channel.
"The Security Service of Ukraine initiated the seizure of Rosneft's assets in Ukraine," the statement said.
According to the Security Service, the company’s activities, which was part of Russian Rosneft group, were blocked. Its assets of 20 mln hryvnias (around $677,000) were frozen, and the license for electricity supply was suspended.
On May 13, the Government of Ukraine adopted a document on transferring 172 filling stations of Glusco company, which allegedly imported oil products from Russia, under the management of Ukrainian oil company Naftogaz. At the same time, the Prosecutor General's Office reported that the court arrested over 234 real estate sites of Glusco group of companies, including 145 gas stations, eight oil depots, 38 warehouses and other premises, nine land plots.
