MOSCOW, April 27. /TASS/. Mercenaries from over 50 countries established 16 militias in Ukraine, the Russian Investigative Committee press office told TASS Wednesday after a meeting held by Committee head Alexander Bastrykin in Lugansk.

"At least 16 different militias have been established in Ukraine, which include mercenaries that arrived from 50 countries. The Ukrainian territorial defense international legion, formed exclusively from foreigners, is being funded by the Kiev regime," the Committee said, adding that Russian investigators are currently collecting evidence to bring them to criminal responsibility.

"These people state the presence of foreign contingent in Ukrainian military units, and reveal its weapons, its types and amount," the Committee added.
