The South Americans' next opponent will be the Swiss national team

WASHINGTON, July 4. /TASS/. The Colombian national team defeated the Ghanaian team with a score of 1:0 in the match of round of 32 of the FIFA World Cup in Kansas City.

Jhon Arias scored in the 14th minute.

Krasnodar striker Jhon Cordoba joined the starting line-up of the Colombian national team. However, he was injured at the very beginning and was replaced in the 8th minute by Luis Suarez.

The Colombian team is the last participant of round of 16. The South Americans' next opponent will be the Swiss national team, which was stronger than the Algerians in the first round of the playoffs (2-0). The meeting will be held on July 7 in Vancouver.

The World Cup is taking place in the US, Canada and Mexico and will end on July 19. The current winner of the tournament is the national team of Argentina.
