MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Russian troops delivered 48 precision strikes at Ukrainian energy and military-industrial sites, army and mercenaries’ deployment areas over the past week in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Friday.
"On April 6-12, the Russian Armed Forces delivered one massive and 47 combined strikes by air-launched, seaborne and ground-based precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles against Ukrainian fuel and energy and military-industrial sites in retaliation to the Kiev regime’s attempts to inflict damage on Russia’s oil and gas industry and energy installations. In addition, the strikes targeted maintenance bases and temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian special operations forces and foreign mercenaries," the ministry said in a statement.
"All the designated targets were destroyed," it stressed.

Russian forces improved their frontline positions and repulsed four Ukrainian army counterattacks in the Kupyansk area where the enemy lost more than 380 troops and 66 pieces of equipment over the past week, the ministry reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction throughout the week, Western Battlegroup units improved their forward edge positions and inflicted casualties on manpower and equipment of five Ukrainian mechanized brigades, two territorial defense brigades and two National Guard brigades near the settlements of Serebryanka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Berestovoye and Sinkovka in the Kharkov Region. In addition, they repulsed four counterattacks by assault groups of the 95th air assault brigade and the 31st Ukrainian National Guard brigade near the settlements of Grigorovka and Terny in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the Kupyansk direction over the past week amounted to more than 380 personnel, three tanks, nine armored combat vehicles, 17 motor vehicles, two Uragan and Grad multiple rocket launchers, 28 field artillery guns, four Nota and Bukovel-AD electronic warfare stations and three American AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar stations, it specified.
Kiev loses over 3,000 troops in Donetsk area over past week
Russian forces gained advantageous positions and repulsed 23 Ukrainian army counterattacks in the Donetsk area where the enemy lost over 3,000 troops and three tanks in the past week, the ministry reported.
"In the Donetsk direction, Southern Battlegroup units gained more advantageous positions as a result of their successful operations and inflicted casualties on formations of four assault and two airmobile brigades, a tank brigade and nine mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army near the settlements of Andreyevka, Antonovka, Belogorovka, Kleshcheyevka, Kurdyumovka, Selidovo and Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic. In addition, they repulsed 23 counterattacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 46th airmobile, 31st and 67th mechanized brigades near the settlements of Berestovoye, Bogdanovka, Razdolovka, Novomikhailovka and Krasnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost more than 3,000 personnel, three tanks, 11 armored combat vehicles, 51 motor vehicles and 47 field artillery guns, including 17 Western-made weapons, eight electronic warfare stations and three US-made AN/TPQ-36 and AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar stations in the Donetsk direction over the past week, the ministry specified.

Russian troops pressed ahead with their advance deep into the enemy defense and repulsed 65 Ukrainian army counterattacks in the Avdeyevka area over the past week, the ministry reported.
"In the Avdeyevka direction, Battlegroup Center units conducted active operations and kept moving deep into the enemy defense. Supported by air strikes, artillery and heavy flamethrower fires, they inflicted casualties on manpower and equipment of eight Ukrainian army brigades and repulsed 65 counterattacks by enemy assault groups in areas near the settlements of Novgorodskoye, Novokalinovo, Umanskoye, Pervomaiskoye and Berdychi in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the Avdeyevka direction over the past week amounted to more than 2,130 personnel, six tanks, 24 armored combat vehicles, 51 motor vehicles and 22 field artillery guns, including three M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery systems and four M777 howitzers of US manufacture, it specified.

Russian troops improved their frontline positions and inflicted casualties on seven Ukrainian army brigades in the south Donetsk area over the past week, the ministry reported.
"In the south Donetsk direction, Battlegroup East units improved their tactical forward edge position and inflicted casualties on formations of seven Ukrainian army and National Guard brigades near the settlements of Makarovka, Urozhainoye and Ugledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
Near the settlements of Nikolskoye and Novodonetskoye, Russian troops repulsed three counterattacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 58th motorized infantry and 72nd mechanized brigades, it added.

The Ukrainian army lost more than 840 troops and five US-made howitzers in battles with Russian forces in the south Donetsk area over the past week, the ministry reported.
"The enemy’s losses amounted to more than 840 personnel, 2 tanks, 2 armored combat vehicles, 25 motor vehicles and 11 field artillery guns, including 5 US-made M777 howitzers," the ministry said.

Russian forces inflicted casualties on seven Ukrainian army brigades in the Kherson area over the past week, the ministry reported.
"In the Kherson direction, Dnepr Battlegroup units inflicted casualties in their active operations on manpower and equipment of one mountain assault brigade and three mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade and two territorial defense brigades near the settlements of Rabotino, Mirnoye, Stepovoye and Pavlovka in the Zaporozhye Region, Mikhailovka and Novotyaginka in the Kherson Region," the ministry said.

The Ukrainian army lost more than 335 troops and six US-made howitzers in battles with Russian forces in the Kherson area over the past week, the ministry reported.
"[In the Kherson direction], the enemy lost more than 335 personnel, 3 tanks, 29 motor vehicles and 22 field artillery guns, including 6 US-made M777 howitzers," the ministry said.
Russian troops wipe out five SAMP/T air defense systems in Ukraine operation over week
Russian troops destroyed five foreign-made SAMP/T air defense systems of the Ukrainian army over the past week, the ministry reported.
"Over the week, missile troops, artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles of the Russian groups of forces destroyed five Franco-Italian SAMP/T surface-to-air missile launchers, an S-300 air defense system and an S-125 air defense system and two P-18 aerial target detection and tracking radar stations," the ministry said.

Russian combat aircraft and air defense forces shot down a Neptune missile, 12 Hammer and JDAM smart bombs, 25 rockets and 1,712 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the past week, the ministry reported.
"Over the week, aircraft and air defense capabilities shot down a Neptune anti-ship missile, 12 French-made Hammer and US-made JDAM guided aerial bombs, 25 rockets of the HIMARS and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems and 1,712 unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.

Twenty-one Ukrainian soldiers surrendered to Russian troops over the past week, the ministry reported.
"During the week, 21 Ukrainian servicemen surrendered," the ministry said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 583 Ukrainian warplanes, 270 helicopters, 20,604 unmanned aerial vehicles, 500 surface-to-air missile systems, 15,761 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,266 multiple rocket launchers, 8,836 field artillery guns and mortars and 20,910 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, it specified.
