Putin invites Congo Republic president to attend Main Naval Parade

The parade will be held on July 30 in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, July 29. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso to attend the Main Naval Parade which will take place in St. Petersburg on July 30.

"Of course, I will be happy to see you tomorrow at the Main Naval Parade," the Russian head of state told Nguesso during a meeting at the Constantine Palace.

As Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier in a conversation with reporters, four African leaders and representatives from five more African countries who stayed in St. Petersburg following the Russia-Africa Summit would attend the parade together with the Russian leader as guests.

Earlier, the Russian president decreed to hold the Main Naval Parade in St. Petersburg on July 30 followed by a gun salute.
