Putin confident that goals on protection of Donbass will be achieved, they are noble

Kiev authorities, encouraged by the West, refused to implement the Minsk Agreements, aimed at peaceful resolution of Donbass’ problems, the Russian President recalled

VOSTOCHNY COSMODROME /Amur Region/, April 12. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has no doubts that the noble goals on protection of Donbass will be achieved, he said, speaking to the space industry workers at the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

"This is what will happen. There are no doubts. The goals are perfectly clear, they are noble," Putin underscored. "The main goal is to help the people in Donbass, the people of Donbass, which we have recognized, and we had to do it, because Kiev authorities, encouraged by the West, refused to implement the Minsk Agreements, aimed at peaceful resolution of Donbass’ problems," the President added.

Putin pointed out that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said it publicly that Kiev "does not like" any clause of the Minsk Agreements, while "other officials stated that the implementation of the Minsk Agreements is impossible."

"They rejected it publicly. Well, it was simply impossible to continue to tolerate this genocide that was going on for eight years," the head of state underscored.
