Russian forces hit battery of Ukrainian missile systems in closed trading center in Kiev

According to Igor Konashenkov, a nearby shopping mall was used as a depot for munitions and missiles

MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. A battery of multiple missile launcher systems and a munitions depot housed in a closed shopping mall in Kiev was hit by Russian troops with the use of high-precision long-range weapons, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Monday.

"Hiding behind dwelling quarters in Kiev’s suburb of Vinogradar, Ukrainian nationalist units have been conducting fire from multiple missile launcher missiles at Russian servicemen for several days," he said.

According to Konashenkov, a nearby shopping mall was used as a depot for munitions and missiles. "Russia’s reconnaissance confirmed via several channels the coordinates of the position of Ukrainian multiple missile launcher systems and the munitions depot. In the night on March 21, a battery of Ukrainian multiple missile launcher systems and a munitions depot in the shopping mall were destroyed by high-precision long-range weapons," he said.

He said that Ukrainian nationalists continue to use dwelling quarters in cities and social infrastructure facilities as a human shelter to deploy their artillery systems and shell Russian troops.

He drew attention of the Western mass media that Russia’s armed forces "have provided absolute evidence proving the use of civilian facilities in dwelling quarters in Kiev and other Ukrainian cities by the Kiev nationalist regime as artillery and missile systems sites,"

"Videos of live recording systems clearly show a Ukrainian multiple missile launcher system entering a shopping mall in a Kiev suburb after conducting fire," he added.
