Desire to harm Russia as much as possible is behind developments in Ukraine — Lavrov

According to the Russian foreign minister, "this containment began long ago"

ANTALYA, March 10./TASS/. The developments in and around Ukraine are based on a long-standing desire to harm Russia as much as possible, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after talks with the Ukrainian and Turkish counterparts, Dmitry Kuleba and Mevlut Cavusoglu.

"All that is happening in relation to Ukraine is measured by one criterion - how to harm Russia through this country, how to contain Russia," the top diplomat said.

"This containment began long ago - before it was officially announced," Lavrov added.
