NEW YORK, April 12. /TASS/. New York’s law enforcement agents continue to look for a dark-skinned man who, according to the police, opened fire in the New York City subway in Brooklyn, New York City Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell said at a press conference on Tuesday.

According to her, an unidentified man who allegedly began shooting in the subway, entered a train around 08:24 local time (15:24 Moscow time). "Again, we will describe him as an individual. He is being recorded as a male black," she said. According to the police commissioner, the city’s law enforcement agents together with federal authorities are looking for the suspect.

She reported that 16 people sustained wounds, their lives are not in danger. First Deputy Mayor Lorraine Grillo added that the injuries involve gunshot and shrapnel wounds, as well as those caused by the stampede that followed.
