MOSCOW, April 8. /TASS/. Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) plans to construct two Il-96 jets per year, Chief Executive Officer Yury Slyusar said in an interview aired by the Rossiya-24 TV news channel.
"Regarding 96 jets [Il-96] our target is two jets per year so far. This jet is less demanded, of course, airlines’ projections are rather modest on its demand, though we will still construct two jets per year," he said.
Earlier, Slyusar said the corporation planned to increase the production of Il-96 jets, adding that companies had interest in this aircraft.
