ST. PETERSBURG, December 5. /TASS/. Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) plans to draft a contract for construction of the second domestic cruise liner by the end of this year, USC Vice President Evgeniy Zagorodniy told reporters on Monday.
"The contract has been worked out materially. We hope to finalize it by the end of this year," Zagorodniy said.
Construction of the first Russian cruise liner in post-Soviet times started in summer 2016 at Lotos Shipyard in Astrakhan. The liner is intended for voyages on the Caspian and the Black Sea.
The manager did not detail the shipyard to build the second liner. "I will not name [the contractor] but the vessel will be of the same type," Zagorodniy said.
