Share of Middle Eastern, African countries in Rosoboronexport order portfolio totals 50%

"We implement and discuss with partners projects on cooperation in the area of arms and military equipment for all types of armed forces," CEO Alexander Mikheyev said

ABU DHABI /UAE/, February 17. /TASS/. The share of countries in the Middle East and North Africa in the order portfolio of Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec) totals around 50%, Chief Executive Officer of Russia’s state arms exporter Alexander Mikheyev told TASS.

"Rosoboronexport cooperates fruitfully with almost all countries of the Middle East and North Africa. As of today, their share in the company’s order portfolio is around 50%. We implement and discuss with partners projects on cooperation in the area of arms and military equipment for all types of armed forces," he said at the IDEX 2025 international arms show in Abu Dhabi.

Considering the partners’ interest to develop their own defense industry, the company’s offers on implementation of projects in the field of technical cooperation on joint development and production of cutting-edge military products spark particular interest, the chief executive noted. "Now we implement more than 20 such projects with 10 countries and we rank the prospect of a serious growth in coming years as enormous," he said.
