The Chinese Foreign Ministry has expressed concern over the deteriorating situation on the Israeli-Lebanese border and the Israeli-Syrian border and called on the sides involved in the conflict to show constraint, a spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
She expressed China's deep sorrow over the victims lost by the sides involved in these incidents. "We are calling on all the sides concerned to display maximum constraint and avoid further escalation of the situation, " the spokeswoman said.
On Wednesday, two Israeli soldiers were killed and seven wounded in an artillery attack on a territory under Israeli control.
