WASHINGTON, September 24. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump greeted Chinese President Xi Jinping at the aircraft stairs after he arrived in the US on Wednesday for a visit.

The Chinese leader’s plane landed at 5:39 p.m. local time (12:39 a.m. Moscow time Thursday). A red carpet was laid out in front of the aircraft stairs, with US military personnel in ceremonial uniforms lined up along it. Trump and Xi shook hands.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said Xi Jinping’s state visit to the US will run from September 23 to 25.
