VILNIUS, August 20. /TASS/. An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) shot down over Latvia on August 14 belonged to Ukraine, the Baltic country's Defense Ministry said.

An air raid alert was declared in four municipalities in eastern Latvia on August 14 and remained in effect for about 30 minutes. Authorities later reported intercepting a drone, which was destroyed by a NATO fighter jet.

According to the Defense Ministry’s X post, the drone’s Ukrainian origin was confirmed.
