US to face more defeats if it does not concede to Iranian demands — Iranian military

Any new threat, attack, or act of aggression will be met with an immediate, decisive, and final response, Iranian Defense Ministry Spokesman General Reza Talaei-Nik said

TEHRAN, May 13. /TASS/. The United States risks further battlefield setbacks if it fails to acknowledge Iran's legitimate demands for a peaceful resolution, warned Iranian Defense Ministry Spokesman General Reza Talaei-Nik.

"If the enemy refuses to accept the rightful and clearly defined demands of the Iranian people through diplomatic channels, it should anticipate a repetition of its military defeats," he stated. "Any new threat, attack, or act of aggression will be met with an immediate, decisive, and final response - one that will make the enemy regret its actions," he added, as quoted by IRNA news agency.

Talaei-Nik emphasized that the Iranian people remain resilient and will continue to emerge victorious from this "imposed war." He also highlighted the repeated retreat of American ships from the conflict zone as evidence of the readiness and strength of Iran’s armed forces, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which stands prepared to deliver a "forceful response that will leave the enemy regretting its miscalculations."

On May 10, Iran sent a response to the United States’ proposals for resolving tensions in the Persian Gulf through diplomatic channels to Pakistan. US President Donald Trump dismissed Iran’s reply as unacceptable.

Subsequently, the Fars news agency, citing an unnamed source, reported that Iran will not resume negotiations with the US until Washington fulfills five key conditions. These include ending hostilities across all fronts - particularly in Lebanon - lifting sanctions against Iran, releasing frozen Iranian assets, providing compensation for damages caused by the conflict, and formally recognizing Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
