China is not providing weapons to any party in the conflict, Spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy to Washington Liu Pengyu said

WASHINGTON, April 13. /TASS/. China is not sending weapons to any party in the Ukraine conflict, Spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy to Washington Liu Pengyu said.

When asked by a TASS reporter to comment on a remark by senior US officials alleging that China has been sending weapons to a party in the conflict, Liu said: "China is not a producer [of weapons] or a party involved in the Ukraine conflict." "We are playing a constructive role in contributing to political settlement. China is not providing weapons to any party in the conflict," the diplomat concluded.

Earlier, Reuters quoted high-profile US officials as saying at a press briefing, citing information based on declassified intelligence, that China is helping Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, in its biggest military buildup since the Soviet era.
