BERLIN, April 10. /TASS/. Russia remains a part of Europe, which means that the West must seek ways of peaceful coexistence with Russia, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer told Germany's Die Zeit.

According to published excerpts, the chancellor said that "there will be no peace without Russia." "We cannot exclude Russia from Europe. This means that after the war we will have to find new ways of coexisting with each other. Of course, this also implies flexibility on the part of Russia," he said.

At the same time, according to the politician, any talks with Russia should not be held behind the backs of Ukrainians.

In October 2022, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree prohibiting any talks with Russia under President Vladimir Putin.
