Netanyahu, Putin discuss Gaza, situation in region, Iran, Russia’s position

TEL AVIV, December 10. /TASS/. Hamas’ actions in the Gaza Strip and the situation in the region were the focus of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s telephone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Israeli prime minister’s office said.

"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today (December 10) held a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin about the war on Hamas and the situation in the region. The prime minister expressed disappointment with the position of Russian representatives to the United Nations and other international formats on Israel, " it said. "Netanyahu slammed Russia’s dangerous cooperation with Iran."

The Israeli prime minister also noted that any country should it come under such a terrorist attack as Israel would act no less strongly as Israel is acting, Netanyahu’s office said.
