Syria air defenses repelling Israeli missile strike on Damascus — TV

The Israeli Air Force struck the Syrian capital’s outskirts on Thursday from the airspace of the occupied Golan Heights

BEIRUT, March 31. /TASS/. Syrian air defense systems are engaging aerial targets above the capital Damascus, the Al Ekhbariya TV channel reported on Friday.

"Syrian air defenders are repelling an Israeli attack above Damascus and have already shot down a few missiles," the channel said.

The Israeli Air Force struck the Syrian capital’s outskirts on Thursday from the airspace of the occupied Golan Heights. Two servicemen were injured as a result. Later in the day, the Arab Republic addressed the UN Security Council, requesting it to put an end to continuous Israeli attacks.
