The US president said all that is needed to defend Ukraine

NEW YORK, February 20. /TASS/. The US and its allies around the world have pledged to give Kiev about 700 tanks and thousands of other armored vehicles, US President Joe Biden said at a news conference on Monday, following a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Kiev.

At the news conference, which was broadcast by NBC, the US president said the US was able to gather a coalition of more than 50 countries spanning the area from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

"Together we’ve committed nearly 700 tanks and thousands of armored vehicles, 1,000 artillery systems, more than 2 million rounds of artillery ammunition, more than 50 advanced launch rocket systems <...> and air defense systems," he said.

The US president said all that is needed to defend Ukraine.
