Ukraine’s actions regarding naval mines a war crime, Turkish ex-Rear Admiral says

Using mines that cannot self-neutralize is a crime, Cihat Yayci stressed

ANKARA, April 6. /TASS/. Ukraine committed a war crime by allowing the situation with drifting naval mines in the Black Sea, says retired Rear Admiral Cihat Yayci.

"It is a crime to unmoor mines. Using mines that cannot self-neutralize [in case of unmooring] is a crime. Planting mines that threaten lives and civilians is a crime. Ukraine has committed a crime here," he said, according to the Yeni Safak.
