US claims that Maduro is involved in drug trade absurd, says Russian diplomat

MOSCOW, March 27. /TASS/. The claims made by the US that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is involved in drug trafficking are absurd, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated during Friday's briefing.

"Such statements sound simply absurd and wild at such a time when the entire world is uniting its efforts to fight the pandemic. Washington continues to bully a sovereign state, and not just one," she said.
