UEFA says no transfer of EURO 2016 draw from Paris after attacks

The finals draw will be held in Paris on December 12

MOSCOW, October 16./TASS/. UEFA will not transfer a session of its Executive Committee and the 2016 UEFA European Football Championship draw from Paris in connection with the terrorist attacks, its press service told Tass.

There will be no changes, all events will take place as scheduled, it said.

The finals draw will be held in Paris on December 12. A session of the UEFA Executive Committee is due there on December 11.

A chain of terrorist attacks in Paris overnight to November 14 claimed the lives of at least 132 people. Another 350 people were injured in the attacks.

Hostages were taken at the Bataclan concert hall where 1,500 people gathered for a rock concert and almost simultaneously three suicide bombers blew themselves up next to the Stade de France stadium where a football match between French and German national teams was in the full swing. Besides, terrorists opened fire at people in popular nightlife spots - cafes, bars and restaurants crowded at that time.
