Moscow calls on IOC to provide official explanations on transfer of three Russian athletes

MOSCOW, December 2. /TASS/. The Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) has asked for official explanations from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on the change of nationality by three athletes, ROC Secretary General Rodion Plitukhin told TASS.

"The ROC has requested official explanations from the IOC on this decision," Plitukhin said.

On Wednesday, the IOC Executive Board granted the applications for a change of nationality: cyclist Valeria Lyubimova going to France, cyclist Mikhail Yakovlev to Israel and Greco-Roman wrestler Georgy Tibilov to Serbia.
