Preliminary schedule of flights to bring Russians home is set

The flight schedule will be approved by the operational headquarters of the Russian government to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the Russian Transport Ministry reminded

MOSCOW, April 8. / TASS /. The Federal Air Transport Agency has formed a preliminary schedule for the export of Russian citizens from abroad before April 13, the Russian Transport Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

"Two Aeroflot flights from New York and Male are planned for Moscow on April 8. Aeroflot can bring Russians back from Denpasar to Moscow on April 9. Aeroflot flights from Thailand to Moscow and St.Petersburg are also planned for April 10. The airline can also bring Russians from Larnaca to these cities. Two Siberia airline flights from Bangkok to Novosibirsk and Irkutsk, as well as a Tokyo-Vladivostok, on April 10 are included in the preliminary schedule," the Ministry said in a statement.

It added that Russians will also be brought back from Bangkok on April 11, Aeroflot’s flight to Moscow and St.Petersburg is planned. A flight from Antalya to Moscow is also possible on this date. The report notes that Ural Airlines plan to deliver the Russians from Bangkok to Krasnoyarsk, Kazan and Ufa. "Perliminary , Aeroflot flights from Madrid, Tokyo, Podgorica and Goa to Moscow were included in the plan for April 12 and 13," the Transport Ministry added.

Currently, 25,800 people have expressed the wish to return from abroad. This is how many Russians filled out the corresponding application on the public services site. The flight schedule is formed based on this list. Earlier, the Transport Ministry said that the cost of tickets for export flights for Russian citizens will be fixed. Passengers who previously purchased airline tickets from Russian companies will be able to return to the Russian Federation for free, and for those who purchased airline tickets from foreign companies, the price of a ticket will vary from 200 to 400 euros.
