WASHINGTON, March 3. /TASS/. Weapons supplied to Ukraine will be wiped out, while the efforts to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia are futile, Russian ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov said, commenting on another package of military aid to Kiev from Washington.
The Russian embassy in the United States released Antonov’s commentary on Friday.
"All efforts made by Washington to inflict a strategic defeat on us are doomed to failure," he said. "The Russian Federation is confidently moving toward fulfilling its goals. Our troops are defending the Fatherland from an unprecedented threat, suppressing the Nazis who have been nurtured in Ukraine by the US-led collective West."
"American assistance will only serve to prolong the agony of the Kiev regime," Antonov continued. "The threat it poses will be pushed back from our borders at the necessary distance, and all the foreign weapons that have fallen into Ukrainian hands on the battlefield will be pulverized and destroyed.".
