MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. The special envoy of Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong-un, currently in Moscow on a visit, hopes for the establishment of close relations between the leaders of Russia and the DPRK.

“I hope that my visit and the message I have delivered from Kim Jong-un will be an important event for the establishment of close relations between our leaders,” the North Korean envoy, Choe Ryong-hae, said on Thursday.

North Korean leader’s envoy says exchange of views with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the situation in the region was “frank.” The meeting with Putin was very meaningful and significant, Choe Ryong-hae said.

Russia-DPRK cooperation will help create conditions for resumption of six-party talks on North Korea, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
