Russian border guards come under fire on border between Russia, Ukraine

ROSTOV-ON-DON, July 12, /ITAR-TASS/. A squad of Russian border guards came under fire in an area of the border between Russia and Ukraine in the Kuibyshevsky district of the southern Rostov region at dawn, about 04.00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12.

“The border guards returned fire and the shelling stopped,” said the spokesman for the regional branch of the FSB Border Guard Service, Vasily Malayev.

“No one was hurt in the squad of three men,” he said.
