LUGANSK, October 26. /TASS/. The strike capability of the Ukrainian armed forces declined last week amid attacks by Russian forces on Ukrainian military facilities, including those located in the rear, military expert Andrey Marochko reported.
"Last week, the situation on the line of contact worsened for Ukrainian forces, largely as a result of rear logistics disruption and Russian strikes targeting the military-industrial complex facilities, logistics centers, energy and transport infrastructure, weapons and military equipment production sites, military-technical equipment warehouses, as well as temporary deployment sites for Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries. "The strike capability of Ukraine’s armed formations has fallen to minimal levels," he wrote on his VKontakte page, after analyzing data released by Russia’s Defense Ministry.
Marochko noted that amid this decline in strike capability, effective counterattacks by Ukrainian troops in the special operation zone "have become practically impossible."
The military expert added that due to logistical disruptions in several areas in the special military operation zone, Ukrainian troops are not evacuating the wounded and the dead, and are instead "simply finishing off their seriously wounded comrades."
On Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that over the past week, the Russian military had launched three massive and 11 combined strikes on the enemy’s logistics centers, energy and transport sites. Ukrainian port infrastructure facilities were incapacitated.
