MOSCOW, October 4. /TASS/. The military and civilian personnel of Russia’s Space Forces are carrying out important tasks to protect the country’s security, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a congratulatory message marking Space Forces Day.
"Today, the military and civilian personnel of the Space Forces are carrying out important tasks to protect Russia’s security, conducting extensive work to ensure the operation of communications and navigation systems, and promptly providing the necessary intelligence to the Armed Forces and units participating in the special military operation," the president noted.
Putin stressed the importance of further expanding the capabilities of the orbital satellite constellation and ground infrastructure, developing advanced technologies for the latest weapons and military equipment, as well as conducting promising research.
"I am confident that you will continue to serve the Motherland with honor, make a significant contribution to strengthening the combat capabilities of the army and navy, and help implement the national space program," the Russian leader noted, wishing the Space Forces’ command, personnel, and veterans success and all the best.
