WASHINGTON, September 29. /TASS/. Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian president's special representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, held a series of meetings in Washington, including with US Treasury and Energy Department officials, sources familiar with the talks told TASS.
They discussed Russian-US economic cooperation.
"Dmitriev's meetings in Washington followed his meetings in New York with [Jared] Kushner and [Steve] Witkoff. Representatives of the US Treasury and Energy departments attended some of the Washington talks, which also covered Russian-US economic cooperation," the sources said.
Earlier on Tuesday, Reuters reported, citing a US administration official, that Dmitriev had held constructive talks with US officials on a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. They also discussed possible Russian-US energy initiatives after the conflict ends, the agency said.
