MOSCOW, August 24. /TASS/. Russia is increasing fertilizer supplies to India and is ready to continue doing so, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting at the Kremlin with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
"I know that you and your Russian counterpart, Mr. [First Deputy Prime Minister Denis] Manturov, who heads the Russian side of the intergovernmental commission, have already done a great deal of work and undoubtedly discussed the most important issues. There are many of them. One of these issues is not only energy supplies but, of course, fertilizer supplies," Putin told the Indian foreign minister. "We are doing everything we can to fully meet the needs of Indian farmers and the agricultural sector, increasing these supplies and standing ready to continue doing so," he added.
Putin also noted that all other issues related to nuclear energy, cooperation in high-tech sectors, and other areas are on the agenda and are all making steady progress.
