MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. Washington has not responded to Russia’s proposal to make a contribution to the Board of Peace using assets frozen in the United States, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated at a briefing.

The diplomat recalled the Russian side’s proposal to allocate $1 billion from Russian assets frozen in the United States to the disposal of the Board of Peace for solving humanitarian tasks in Gaza.

"So far, no response has been received from Washington," Zakharova emphasized.
