Ukrainian, Taiwan crises artificially provoked by the West — Medvedev

The Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman noted that "military ventures, detached from reality, sooner or later end in military failures, and the rebellious provinces end up home again"

MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. The crises around Ukraine and Taiwan have been artificially provoked by the destructive forces in the United States and the EU, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said in his article "On national identity and political choice: the experience of Russia and China."

Meanwhile, he noted, despite the totally different nature of these crises, "they have become one for the Westerners."

"This once again proves their artificial origin with involvement of foreign destructive forces, above all the United State and the EU. However, military ventures, detached from reality, sooner or later end in military failures, and the rebellious provinces end up home again," Medvedev concluded.
