MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Top Russian diplomat Sergey Lavrov spoke about the situation in Ukraine and the future of the region in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.

"In his interview with American public figure and commentator Tucker Carlson, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov went into detail about what is going on in Ukraine, what the Kiev regime is doing to civilians and civilian infrastructure outside Ukraine and the terrorist attacks that it is carrying out, as well as about the causes of the Ukraine crisis and the future of our region. The interview will be released in the coming days," the diplomat pointed out.

Earlier, Carlson arrived in Moscow for an interview with the Russian foreign minister.
