Russian air defense forces down 21 Ukrainian drones, eight HIMARS rockets in past day

The drones were downed over several places around the region, Russia’s Defense Ministry says

MOSCOW, January 13. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces shot down 21 Ukrainian drones and destroyed eight HIMARS MLRS projectiles in the past day, according to Russia’s Defense Ministry.

The drones were downed over Veliky Vyselok and Olshana in the Kharkov Region; Lisichansk in the Lugansk People’s Republic; Berestovoye, Georgiyevka and Gorlovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic as well as Tokmak and Mirnoye in the Zaporozhye Region, the ministry specified.

According to the defense agency, in all, since the start of the military operation in Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed a total of 567 Ukrainian warplanes, 265 helicopters, 10,641 unmanned aerial vehicles, 448 surface-to-air missile systems, 14,588 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,202 multiple launch rocket systems, 7,704 field artillery guns and mortars and 17,376 special military motor vehicles.
